You can hear us,
Stamping to beat
Of your loud voices.
All fighting the disease.
Our faces stamped
On a black and white paper.
Let them all read
Of our opposition to the actor.
Paint in the street.
The weight of defeat.
The weight of your words
Dragging us down with them.
When no one admits,
We all turn into hypocrites.
In the end,
All they need to do is colour us in
And let us drown in the weight of it all.
My poems are surprisingly the most popular thing on my blog so, I had a thought. Why not write some more? I hope you liked it!
If you’d like to drop a prompt down below, feel free to do so. It’s a free country after all! And I’ll be sure to write a poem using the prompt.
I love the last stanza! I feel this is about what is happening in Sudan currently. They’re using art as a way of rebellion. Amazing poem 😊

Actions speak louder than words and that’s what I tried to say through the poem. I’m glad you liked it! I’ll try my best to keep it up!
